- Truck/Equipment Dispatcher
Candidate must have good communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, critical-thinking problem solvers.
Some Duties Include:
- Monitor availability and maintain schedules concerning all aspects of trucking operations
- Use computers, phone, and other technological devices with ease
- Determine types and number of trucks needed for all projects
- Schedule and dispatch vehicles to appropriate location
- Orders and maintains needed truck shop supplies
- Coordinate and facilitate resources daily to meet work schedule
- Be comfortable in a construction environment
- Have experience using two-way radios
- Assist transportation manager with supervision of transportation department employees
- Learn and follow all safety regulations.
- Be familiar with DOT regulations.
- Work occasional nights, weekends, holidays and/or overtime.
- Some travel may be required.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management
